President's Day

Today, for President's day, we went to our local museum for a free visit sponsored by Target. The kids had fun. But what they actually loved and spent quite some time, especially J was on drawing and coloring.

Another thing that really got the kid's attention was a second clock, where you can stop and start the second hand of a clock. They loved that and try to sing ABC or do something and see how long it took. For the ABC song, we found it was consistently 8 seconds. Share some of the high lights in pictures.

Craft #1 with made with pipe cleaner. Look at 1 1/2 year difference in age. (5 yo vs. 6 1/2 yo)
Here is J doing a craft requiring some sewing skills. She was not afraid of the needle today and did a wonderful job.


This is J's drawing which she spend quite some time drawing at the museum. After Prime made his own picture, he tried to copy J's drawing and did pretty good.

See Prime holding his pencil? I think the gray eraser/ pencil holder was a great purchase for 49 cents. This really seem to help Prime hold his pencil better. It also has a bible inscription on it. J got one too.
