Cross Country Skiing

Today we tried cross-country skiing for the first time (free). It was a great experience. The weather was beautiful, high in the low 40s and the sun shone brightly. I think c-c ski is a great winter exercise. Someone who was c-c skiing with us said, "It is not as easy as it looks." How right she is. But its not too hard either.

The kids had a great time. J already asked me when we are coming back here to do it again. Prime was little tired out but he did great and cam back to the starting point w/o any complaints. I was a little concerned on the way back that he could not finish but he did. What a good boy!

The best part was the cc ski boots. I need to get a pair for myself. They are so warm and kept my feet nice and toasty unlike the other time when my toes felt like they were frozen.

J did great! After a little trial and error, she was way ahead and kept going further and further into the "forest".

Here is Prime. He's a little "rebel"; insisting on staying in the middle of the trail and not going on the side where the trail has been paved by others. The side are much easier and smoother. He had couple falls but always got up. Later, he figured out out how to get up faster and finally decided to go to the side of the trail. Prime trying to glide down the "hill". He liked that and said that was really fast! :-)

J really liked the cross country skiing. After we left the park, she wanted to do it again.
