Just an update here: J had another massive and very serious nose bleed this morning. We basically couldn't stop it no matter what and we ended up going to urgent care. They were able to stop it, finally. Of course, that was after over an hour of bleeding at home. Doctor says we need to put pressure on the front of her nose, with no tissue or anything else. The docotr was not sure why the nose bleed is so serious as there is no obvious answer but thinks the fever does aggravate the condition. She recommends taking J to her pediatrician where they can run more test and go see a specialist.
Anyway, we have made another appointment with J's pediatrician. She is running a fever and coughing and after losing a lot of blood, is weak, yet once again.
So if you pray, please keep her in your prayers. And if not, then please just keep her in your thoughts.

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry, poor little girl! A "regular" nosebleed is horrific enough, let alone the kind your daughter is having. She must have inherited your problem? I hope she gets better right away! I also hope you and the hubby can get some sleep soon or you'll both end up sick too.
We took J to the urgent care because we thought she might have lost too much blood. Her nosebleed stopped when the nurse got a chance to see her. The doctor said that we don't need to be scared about losing too much blood from nosebleeds. Obviously, it can be free flowing for many hours. Children can lose quite a bit of blood before it is a concern. Tissues will make it appear to be a lot of blood. Lesson learned: stay calm, kids can lose a lot of blood before it's a concern.
