Wildlife habitat and the call of the coyote (video)

Oh, the joy of seeing animals... no matter how often we see them, we still love to see them again and again. I think each time we see them, we get to know them a little better, if sometimes is only to recognize the animal (i.e on this trip, we saw American Kestrels).

When my friend emails me her pictures which are much better, I'll post her pictures instead. For now, just share some of my pics and some highlights.

Pausing to see the chipmunk who is so fast!
Woodchuck
(he was very active and came to say hello)
The Bobcat
(He came to greet us as well otherwise we couldn't see him very well)

I love this fox- very soulful and expressive eyes

The White-tailed deer
(look at those antler!)

Howling at the coyotes- that was a favorite with the kids since it howls right back at us.

W demonstrate how to taste this particular kind of flower. Not sure of the name in English (you can see the red flower behind W), but it is one of my favorite flower to taste since childhood. The white tip is a tad sweet.
