freezing and concoction experiment

Here is our little science experiment for the day. Since I always make different kinds of smoothie concoctions, I thought it would be fun for J to make her own Popsicle concoction.

This is what she put in her first Popsicle concoction:

1. lemon juice from one big lemon (take seeds out)
2. added some water
3. added some honey
4. added some Spirit
5. add some sugar
6. added little more Spirit

Mix, taste along the way as each ingredient is added. Concoction taste good. Put into freezer.

The second part is guessing how long until the Popsicle will be ready. J said, 4 hours, W first said 10 minutes, then later changed his guess to 6 hours. I don't know exactly when it was ready, but we ate our Popsicles 5 hours later and it was basically ready. J did check 1 hour later and even though they looked ready, she found they really were not.

While we waited, J had fun at the playground while W had fun at splash park/playground. This year for some reason, J has not been wanting to play in the Splash Park. Maybe the water is still little too cold for her.

Someone had the great idea to pull up a picnic table so the girls could get on by themselves.

Some were harder to take out than others so we put them back and hopefully they will come out easier later. But we did manage to get exactly 3 of them out of 8. Just enough for us. It was good! W wants to make a concoction of his own now.
