Learning about the states

This year for THINKING DAY through girl scouts, all the troops picked and presented a state. J's troop picked FL and brought many memorabilia to present the state as well oranges, orange juice and the very delicious key lime cream puffs. Every troop did the same and the girls all got patches. They also had a little passport in which they picked their favorite thing/place about the state.

Today armed with their knowledge of the different states, they were quizzing me and was happy that I didn't know many of of the answers. :) Coincidentally, W has also been learning about states through the Five in A Row class he has been taking so the kids are really teaming up and are teaching me all about the different states.

W thinks he can hear the ocean in the shell (?).

I think this is New Mexico or maybe Arizona...not sure.
J with the rest of the her troop. The lei was from Hawaii.
