1. Secret Garden

2. Rascal

3. Sarah, Plain and Tall series

4. Princess of the world ( I love the drawings in this book)

5. Harry Kitten and Tucker Mouse

6. Call of Courage ( This book deserves another reading; fantastic descriptions, very rich vocabulary. It is advanced for 7 year-old but an 8 or 9 year old would appreciate this)
